# Can the SNAP System Really Replace My ProScanner Unit?

## Yes - We've made so many advancements in computer vision & software paired with higher resolution cameras. It outperforms ProScanner.

**Yes! SNAP is the next generation of Fit3D technology, designed to deliver a better scanning experience with greater reliability, improved camera technology, and fewer technical support headaches.**

Think about how much technology has changed in the last five years. Cameras have gotten better, software has gotten smarter, and bulky hardware has been replaced by smaller, more powerful devices.

That's exactly what we've done with Fit3D.

### 1. Better Cameras, Better Technology

Our original ProScanner used specialized depth sensors with resolutions around 2 megapixels.

Today, modern Apple and Samsung tablets feature high-quality cameras with resolutions of 12 megapixels or more. That's roughly **6 times the camera resolution**, providing far more visual detail for our software to work with.

Combined with advancements in computer vision, SNAP represents a major technology upgrade.

### 2. Smarter Software Replaces Mechanical Turntables

The original ProScanner required a motorized turntable because software wasn't advanced enough to reliably track a person as they rotated.

Today, SNAP uses advanced computer vision to identify and track body parts and joints during the scanning process.

**Instead of relying on mechanical movement, we rely on smarter software.** This makes scanning simpler while helping improve consistency and repeatability.

### 3. Fewer Moving Parts, Greater Reliability

One of the biggest challenges with our original ProScanner was maintaining specialized hardware.

Turntables, motors, sensors, and Windows tablets could all require repairs or replacement parts.

SNAP eliminates most of those components. With no motorized turntable or proprietary scanning tower, there are fewer things to break, less maintenance, and fewer technical support issues.

### 4. Smaller Doesn't Mean Less Powerful

SNAP may look simpler than the original ProScanner, but that's the point.

**You're not downgrading your scanner. You're upgrading to a more modern approach to 3D body scanning.**

You still get the Fit3D experience your clients value, including 3D body avatars, measurements, body composition estimates, posture analysis, and progress tracking.

### Our Recommendation

We strongly recommend that existing ProScanner customers migrate to SNAP.

It's easier to operate, easier to maintain, and built around the technology of today rather than the hardware of a decade ago.

**Give SNAP a try and see for yourself how far Fit3D technology has come.**
