Tips for best view of fit3d color avatars
For better looking avatars, simply have better lighting in your space.Your 3D scans on Fit3D SNAP now appear in full color, allowing you to view body contours, posture, and even clothing detail more vividly. While lighting has no impact on your body composition values or scan accuracy, it does affect how bright and detailed your color visualization appears.
Tips to Improve Scan Brightness
-
Use Even, Overhead Lighting
Make sure your scan area is well-lit from above. Avoid shadows or dark corners—soft, even light helps your color model appear clearer. -
Avoid Strong Backlight
If there’s a bright window or light behind you, it can make your scan appear darker. Try to position light sources in front of or above you instead. -
Increase Ambient Room Lighting
The more balanced lighting in the room, the better your camera can capture color details like skin tone, clothing color, and facial features. -
Check Your Device Settings
If you’re using the Fit3D SNAP app on a tablet, ensure your device camera lens is clean and that exposure settings are set to “auto” (default).
💡 Pro Tip
You don’t need studio lighting—just make sure you can clearly see yourself in the preview before starting your scan. If it looks too dark on your screen, add another light source in front of you or to the side.
