Recommended Distance Between the Tablet and the Person
When using Fit3D SNAP, the distance between the tablet and the person being scanned is automatically optimized based on height. Maintaining the correct distance ensures the most accurate body scan and 3D model results.
🔹 General Guidelines
-
For most people, the recommended distance is 5–7 feet (approximately 1.5–2 meters) between the tablet camera and the center of the person’s body.
-
The app uses AI and depth sensing to adjust for height, so taller individuals may need to stand slightly farther back, while shorter individuals may need to move slightly closer.
🔹 Quick Tips
-
Place the tablet at waist height or slightly below, facing the person directly.
-
Make sure the entire body—from head to feet—is visible on the tablet screen before beginning the scan.
-
Keep a clear area around the subject to avoid interference or background objects being captured.
-
If prompted by the app, adjust the position until the body outline fits entirely within the on-screen frame.
⚙️ Why Distance Matters
Proper spacing allows SNAP’s AI to:
-
Capture full-body proportions accurately
-
Reduce distortion or cropping
-
Improve circumference and volume calculations
