Scanning with SNAP

Phase 2 is about getting comfortable with the scan process and everything you need to do to get your first successful scan!

Phase 2 - Scanning

Now that SNAP is set up, your next step is simple: Complete 3 successful scans in a row.

This isn’t about training your whole team yet, it’s about getting you hands-on and confident. Plan about 15 minutes, and you’ll quickly see how easy SNAP can be once you’ve dialed it in.

Environment check

A couple of things to keep in mind when getting ready to take your first scan are:

Stands/Mounts
  • Make sure you choose the best option for your space. A wall mount is ideal and easy for a smaller or high-traffic space. Stands are great for switching spaces/rooms easily, if needed or for more accessible scanning.

Lighting and Space
  • You will want to create a great scanning environment. That means a space that is dedicated to getting good scans. Good lighting and a clear, open space will get you the most accurate and consistent results with your scans.

The first scans are your chance to:

  • Learn the flow

  • Spot and fix common mistakes

  • See how your space and lighting affect results

Tips to Get It Right
Spin Smoothly: If you rotate too slow or too fast, or don’t complete the full spin you will get errors.
Keeping the lighting even and space clear: Clear nearby objects like plants, stools or wall hangings. Uneven lightning can also affect scan quality.

What to Expect
Scans are emailed to you after processing. It can take a few minutes for your scans to process and arrive via email. That’s normal.

Here’s what matters most right now:

  • Get a clean avatar
  • Capture the full body
  • Avoid glitches or missing data

Once you have completed a few scans you’ll know what a “good” scan looks like. From there, you can roll it out to your team with confidence. Remember: the first scan isn’t about perfection—it’s about progress. You're building something your team and clients can trust.

After you understand this, we can then move on to helping you understand the strategy behind scans, and how to use them to drive revenue.
