Use this checklist to ensure your SNAP setup is optimized for accurate and consistent scans.
📐 Space Setup
☐ Clear scanning area (no objects, clutter, or movement)
☐ Open space with full body visible (head to toe)
☐ User stands 5–7 feet from the device
☐ Background is simple and not busy
☐ Low foot traffic during scans
💡 Lighting
☐ Room is well-lit (no dim areas)
☐ Lighting is even across the entire body
☐ Light source is in front of or above the user
☐ No strong shadows or glare
☐ No backlighting (avoid windows behind the user)
📱 Device Setup
☐ Tablet placed at ~40 inches (waist height)
☐ Device is stable (floor stand or wall mount)
☐ Camera lens is clean and unobstructed
☐ Internet connection is strong
☐ Device position is consistent for every scan (portrait orientation)
🧍 User Positioning
☐ Standing upright and centered in frame
☐ Feet shoulder-width apart
☐ Arms slightly away from body
☐ Slow, steady 360° rotation (duck waddle in circular motion)
☐ No sudden movements during scan
