Choosing another tablet may not work as intended.
Tablet Selection
The SNAP solution relies on the exceptional camera and lens quality of high-end tablets, which is why we recommend specific Samsung models. Using another brand or even a different Samsung model may result in lens distortion, negatively affecting the scan quality.
For the best experience, we require you to use one of the following approved tablets:

What about other Android Tablets?
Other tablets are not approved at this time. We cannot guarantee compatibility of the hardware with our app. We selected the approved tablets based on the minimal lens distortion with Samsung Devices versus other Android tablets on the market. Lens distortion has a huge impact on the quality of scans for any 3D body scanning solution.
Do I need extra memory or 3G?
The base models for the tablets above are more than sufficient. Remember, you are using for just scanning. Everything else happens on our cloud backend.
We recommend WiFi, but if you do a lot of mobile events, you might consider a cellular plan. Many of the operators we work with will simply use their phone as a "hotspot" for those events rather than sign up for an additional cellular plan. Up to you.
What about other Apple Devices or an iPad?
Other iOS tablets are not approved at this time - including Apple iPads. This may come in the future. For reference, while many people do own an iPad, but for a standalone tablet for B2B, we find the SamSung tablets here perform to the task at hand for scanning. Their camera quality is exceptional for a price that is affordable to most business owners.
